The agriturism Il Gelso di Francesco is located in open countryside, amidst the green of Tuscany, at the locality "La Mazzanta", between the town of Cecina and Vada, in province of Livorno. Situated near the beaches of Marina di Cecina, Vada (white sand beaches ) and Marina di Bibbona. Within walking distance you can hear the melodic voices of animals, at the oasis of Bolgheri, or the relaxing sound of the waves breaking on the cliffs of Livorno Romito (between Castiglioncello and Livorno). Last , in particular, offers one of the most beautiful landscape of Tuscany. During your stay you can do walking, cycling or horseback-riding , in the beautiful pine forests that are the backdrop to our agriturismo. About 20 miles away, in Marina di Donoratico you can find an important Spa "Tombolo" and, just beyond, the natural springs "Calidario", Venturina. Our region offers a lot of typical restaurants, where you can enjoy delicious dishes based on meat or fish. For anyone who is curious to immerse themselves in the history and culture of our country , you can visit the archaeological sites and museums such as the "Villa la Cinquantina" Cecina, or go back in time, walking through the paths of Baratti, Populonia and Volterra, jewels of the Etruscan civilization and the medieval period. For the enjoyment of young and old alike you can quickly reach the "Acquavillage", water park of Marina di Cecina, the "Cavallino Matto" at Donoratico, an amusement park or the Adventure Park at Riparbella (PI). You can also participate at excursions and boat trips to the nearby islands of the Tuscan Archipelago (Elba, Capraia, Gorgona, Giglio, . . . ).
